For your consideration is a 14S, 13J Hillside Model 1884 Chronograph Waltham Pocket Watch. Estimated production year is November 1884 to February 1885. Watch is lever set and pendant wind.
Watch is in working condition. All functions work as they should.The Dial has little to no issues as seen in the photos. Overall the Dial faces up very well.The Hands are nicely blued. The crystal has very small surface scratches like a crystal of a wrist watch gets with wear. The Movement i...s a nice gilt as seen in the photos. The movement has an extra crystal dust cover--the crystal needs to be reglued...it pops out. Serial number is 2403048.The heavy Hunter Case is 18K Gold and weighs a total of about 124 grams. The Case appears to be original to the movement. The Front Cover opens and closes as it should. Front and Dust Covers open to 90 degrees. Back Cover opens to about 89 degrees. Case has little to no wear with light surface scratches. Front Cover has nice Old English Initials. Back Cover has a few small pings on it.I am a private collector who will be listing a large number of really nice pocket watches in the next several weeks.
