This auction consists of 8 intricate and beautiful vintage coasters from the mid-sixties created by artist Piero Fornasetti from Milano, Italy.
The theme is about musical instruments with a variety painted in great detail in white over a gilded base.
The main color is real gold, but the pictures above, when taken, were affected by the light thus giving the photos some dark spots. However, I guarantee there are no dark blotches o...n any of these coasters.
These coasters were made for Bonwit Teller, a famous retail store based in NY in the sixties.
Each design is different and each coaster is made of porcelain with a size of about 4".
