Here's a beautiful little NC Pottery pitcher with a very rare stamp on it. It's got the large print. 3 line M.L. Owens Pottery Steeds NC mark clearly impressed on the bottom. I have chasing NC pottery for well over 20 years, and I have not seen this version of a Steeds stamp before. The usual mark is 2 lines, very tiny, and rarely clear. This would have been used in the 1940's, and the pitcher also has a very unusual frogskin type glaze on it, similar to what his cousin (Ben Owen) was ...doing at Jugtown. The pitcher stands a mere 3.5" tall by 4" across the body and handle. Condition is excellent, save a tiny glaze ding on the rim. It should be visible in the first photo.
