A Chinese glass overlay snuff bottle of flattened pear shaped form, very finely carved through the red overlay with a pair of coiling chilong, the oval foot ring cut from the overlay, all on a dense semi - transparent snowstorm glass ground. Fitted with a coral stopper and metal spoon it measures 6.7 cms in height including the stopper.This is a very fine quality snuff bottle which dates to the late 18th to early 19thC.
Condition. Very good condition except for a short approx ...6mm very fine and faint hairline at the top of the outer mouth rim.
