Millers Falls No 14C Jack Plane Type 2 1936-41 Tuned. Very nice all original, 99.99% original black and red japanning. No breaks cracks chips repairs or damage of any kind to the body or frog. Nickel plating on the lever cap is 100%. As is the nickel plating on the chip breaker. Frog adjustment tab and screw, small screw on the front of the tote and the pin the secures the lateral lever retain their original gun blue factory finish. The Cocobolo Rosewood tote and knob are free of crack...s chips or repairs and retain their original finish. This one has been tuned as is ready to use. The sole has been lightly lapped and checked at the toe mouth and heel. The frog has been checked for rocking and sits firm and square on the body. The mouth is good no chips cracks or alterations. The lever cap and chip breaker have been lapped at their contact points to ensure a firm seat to the iron and reduce chatter. The full length iron has been lapped flat on the back and then honed with a 10, 000 grit Ohishi Water Stone, Scary Sharp and makes whispy see through shavings in black cherry, with a finish as smooth as glass. Millers Falls patented three piece lever cap helps seat the iron and reduce chatter. No issues as all, all screws move freely and have been lightly oiled. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
