Large Antique 19thC Black Forest Carving of Pheasants Mantle Clock
Up for bids is this Large Antique 19thC Black Forest Carving of Pheasants Mantle Clock. Measuring 28 3/4" high x 19" wide x 7 3/4" in depth. This magnificent large Black Forest carved wood mantle clock features two pheasants perched on deeply carved branches of a tree and leaves and attached to a carved wood base. Some of the sharper edges have wear and sometiny chips and the ...branch that sticks off to the right was made of a second piece that at one time was broken off and was re-glued that is hard to notice. There is a very tiny chip to the beak of the pheasant on the top. We didn;'t test the working condition of the movement bebecause although there is a key and pendulum the glass door to the front of the clock's face will not open so we can not guaranratee it to be in working condition.
