Up for auction is a tin friction 1956 Ford convertible car made by Irco of Japan. The car measures 7 1/2 inches or 19 centimeters long and it is in complete, very good/excellent condition. This is the hard to find two tone version of the Haji mid fifties Fords. This is a beautiful tin friction car; it is original with the exception of the windshield. The windshield is very close to the original; it fits in the same tab slots as the original but it is from a different Japanese car... of the same period. Everything else looks to be original and in very good condition. The two tone paint is very nice; the surface of the tin has a terrific gloss and the paint is bright and very vivid. There appears to be a few small touch ups in the paint, mostly around the headlights. The chrome trim is in excellent condition, bright and shiny. The tires and hubcaps are in great shape; the tires still have all the original tread and the friction motor works well. There is one scrape on the base, the rest of the base is like new. This is a great car in very good condition; the Haji version is pictured on page 87 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars. Thanks for looking!!!! Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos. Shipping will be 8.50 in the U.S.; overseas shipping will vary by country and method of shipping. Paypal is preferred for payment and within 48 hours of end of auction, please. Thanks again!!!
