Here is a 2 owner, all original, 1960 Gibson J-50 with the original Gibson alligator chipboard case.There are no breaks, cracks, separations, issues or repairs.
Serial # R 4310 5.
Back of headstock stamped "2" indicating a factory second. This was usually due to a finish flaw or minor cosmetic issue when it rolled off the line 60 years ago.
It plays great and has a large, resonant well balanced tone. This is the cleanest one I have ever seen with just normal play w...ear.
It has a fresh setup w/Elixir 12's and it just had its first fret dress. The truss rod functions nice and smooth and works perfectly. There is the usual finish checking which adds to the coolness.
The case has all of its original, fully functional latches and handle. As a bonus I am including the case candy... a full set of Gibson strings, a vintage capo and an original copy of the McDonald Clown song :-).
