Great pair of Shoveller Duck decoys made by noted caver and painter, Ron Saylor of Florence, Oregon. The bodies are made of cork, the heads, tails and keels are made of wood. Glass eyes with complete rigging ready for hunting. These decoys were made for Worth Mathewson of Amity, Oregon. Worth Mathewson is the author of numerous waterfowl hunting articles for magazines such as "Wildfowl Magazine" and "Sporting Classics". Worth has also authored 11 books including "Big December Canvasbac...ks" and "Waterfowling Best Days". Worth writes about his decoys in both books. Both of these books are illustrated by Worth's good friend and noted wildfowl artist, "David Hagerbaumer". The Drake's body is 15-1/2" long by 6" wide by 7-1/2" high. These decoys were made for hunting and came straight from Mathewson's personal hunting rig. These decoys also include a copy of "Big December Canvasbacks", by Mathewson, a $20 to $30 value.
