Excellent quality genuine 161 year old sterling silver example, (definitely not silver-plated); stunning shape, with a decorative high scrolled handle and it rests on 3 silver hoof feet. It still has a partially gilded interior and it weighs a heavy approx 130 grams. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms and it is ready to be used.Measurements Large size, measures approx. 4.7 inches (119mm) in height is 2.75 inches (68mm) in diameter across the middle, (excluding the handle).Date English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver, with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1858, (date letter "c"). Excellent clear struck marks and includes the silver duty stamp of Queen Victoria.Maker Silversmiths initials "W S N" (William Samuel Norman (1858 -1858).Condition Lovely condition with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents, just a few little age-related surface dents/bruises from normal use, really nothing at all bad and a very nice genuine mid 19th Century example. The silver handle and 3 silver legs are all undamaged and tight and secure and some of the original interior gilding is still intact. Has a good heavy silver weight and is ready to be used.
