ESTATE SALE FIND. World War II Japanese Naval Officer Samurai Sword with Steel Scabbard. Blade length 26 3/4 inches, handle length   9 1/2 inches. Blade tapers from 1 1/4 inches to 3/4 inch. Shows signs of wear, lock does not lock sword into scabbard, two wholes (bullet?) in scabbard, blade is spotted and there is surface rust in one spot. Have not taken handle apart to find maker's mark and have not cleaned the blade. Sold as is, so please consult pictures as part of descrip...tion. I don't know the history of the sword nor am I an expert on the subject.
