Up for sale here is a vintage circa early 1950s to about early 1960s framed oil painting on canvas board by listed German / American Mid Century painter and print maker Hilde Weingarten (Active mid 20th Century). The artist's title for this painting is "Interior". The painting only measures 10 inches high by 8 inches across and with the frame 13 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left corner. The painting also has a Label on the back from the... Art Gallery Contemporary Inc from New York City on the back of the painting. The painting has one tiny 1/32 of an inch in diameter paint chip located next to the " i " in the signature in the lower left. The wood is missing on the back of the lower right right corner of the frame. You can not really see it when the painting is hanging up as you see in the picture. The lower left corner also has some slight shrinking of the wood and is slightly gapped. Hilde Weingarten is listed in the published books Davenports Art Reference, Price Guide and Who Was Who in American Art, the artist also has some auction records on the popular auction result website askart(tm) .
