Up for sale here is a well painted, antique, one of a kind work by well collected , listed artist Archie Palmer Wigle (1885-1963 American Artist active in Detroit , Michigan). The subject matter of this painting is a Harbor Scene maybe even a Lake Superior scene. The painting is an oil on old artist board. The painting is being sold unframed. It measures 12 inches high by 16 inches across. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left corner. The painting has one t...iny 1/16th of an inch paint chip in the upper center of the painting other than that it is in good condition and has not been cleaned or restored and the paint is not flaking. Archie Palmer Wigle is listed in the published books Davenports Art Reference and Price Guide and in Who Was Who in American Art. The artist also has several auction records listed on the more popular auction result websites. Some of his paintings have done quite well in sales in recent years.
