This uncommon vintage unit is in need of some restoration. I have only come across one other example in my extensive travels, and the owner would not part with it! It is a beautiful example of vintage 1960s German minimalist design that would make a great centerpiece to tie together a vintage room, or, when restored, complete a Braun system (this one was one of only two B...raun components found together, the rest of the system was a conglomeration and will be sold as time permits, no other items are included in this auction).
From the factory, it is set up for 1/4tk stereo use, and has 1 7/8ips, 3 3/4ips, and 7 1/2ips speeds.
Cosmetically, this unit shows signs of age and wear. It has scrapes, some corrosion, and other marks evident and clearly shown in my photos. Please ask if you require any further details. One VU meter is pushed in. Please look at all of the photos as they are the majority of the cosmetic condition description. This Braun TG-1000 powered on, fast forwarded, rewound, but would not hold steady speed in play mode, and would not change speed in play mode. The controls need to be cleaned, and a full restoration completed. As such, it is being sold as-is for parts or repair only.
This unit uses DIN connectors for input and output. Please be aware of this, no cables are included with this auction other than the power cord shown.
