I've been collecting for over 55 years and it is now time to let most of my personal collection go. This uniform was acquired many years ago directly from the veteran. I am listing these items as collectibles. As such, the only size information given in the description are those marked on the items. The photos really tell the whole story so please review them carefully. Please feel free to ask any relevant questions.... Shipping costs shown are for domestic delivery only. Overseas shipping will be quite a bit more. I use the eBay Global Shipping Program and overseas shipping costs will be included with the invoice you receive from eBay. I will combine shipping on multiple itemsOffered here is an extremely nice WW2 USMC uniform group from the 2nd Battalion, USMC FMF HQ DUKW and later assigned to the 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. The items belonged to PFC Guy L. Wiggans. The group of items are as follows:(1) Jacket: The jacket is a standard four pocket USMC type. The jacket is marked inside the sleeve "College Hall Fashions, Contract No. 37631 Dated September 22, 1944." It is stamped Size "54M." The bronze EGA's are screw back. The ribbons are as shown and there is a USMC Sharpshooter on the left pocket flap. There is an honorable discharge patch sewn above the right pocket. There are PFC stripes on each sleeve and a USMC Amphibious patch machine sewn to the lower left sleeve. The FMF HQ DUKW patch is machine sewn to the upper left sleeve. This is a beautiful patch which I believe to be of Australian manufacture with silk embroidery on the red wool background.. All insignia are machine sewn to the uniform. More decorative than functional since the patch is machine sewn to the jacket. The jacket inside is stamped "G L WIGGANS" in several places. There is a pinpoint sized moth nip of the lower left pocket and a pencil point sized moth nip just below the same pocket.(2) Trousers: The trousers are standard Marine Corps issue and marked inside as a size "5S." The trousers show signs of use with some very minor soiling to the white cotton lining. The trousers are button fly. There is no moth damage that I can find. (3) Shirt: The shirt is a standard mustard brown Marine Corps wool shirt and is marked as a size "2." The shirt has a tag inside that reads "I Unterberg & Co., Inc. Cont. No. 338503 Dated December 3, 1942." There is one small pin point sized moth nip by the seam along the bottom of the shirt. The shirt comes with a khaki wool tie.(4) Cap: The cap has a screw back bronze EGA. There is no size marking inside the cap. The cap has a fabric sweatband and there is some minor soiling from use. As a former Marine (67-71), identified or named WW2 USMC uniforms and bring back articles are the core of my personal collection. It has taken me decades and tons of work to locate these items and now that I am 70 it seems appropriate to pass them on. I will be listing several other uniform groups, albums, field gear, USAAF watches and some WW2 German items so please check out my other listings.Wool clothing is somewhat heavy so that is reflected in the shipping quote. I will combine shipping when possible. I only use PayPal for payment unless other arrangements are made before you bid. International bidders need to understand that my shipping quote is for domestic PRIORITY delivery only. International shipping will be quite a bit more and I only ship overseas using eBay's Global Shipping Program.
