Original Description:
This is a very nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 32 that has survived with most of its black lacquered finish as well as wears MATCHING NUMBERS. It is mounted with well made grooved machine made blade that measures 30 1/2 inches in length which remains in very nice original condition. It wears a metal D-guard and a checkered wooden grip with a side lock that also remain exceedingly nice with much of the original black lacquer finish still present. The guard is marked by ...the Tokyo arsenal and is dated "Taisho 2" which translates to "1913". The MATCHING metal scabbard remains very nice as well with only minor scuffing to the finish but no dings.
