Up for sale from private estate, ****3-DAYS ONLY ***This WW2 Japanese Samurai Sword -WW II Officer? Gunto Katana? Sword. The tang is SIGNED with Asian character markings on the blade, there’s some kind of serial number markings on it (#10835). Above the handle on a metal plate . Sword Kinda looks like a type 98 but not sure?. I don’t know much about collecting old WW2 swords, or it’s original origin so please study pictures for condition details, may show wear due to age. I’m s...ure you collectors know what you’re looking at. I can’t find another like this design anywhere in existence? Blade is very sharp. The handle is wrapped very tight. Great for any collection. Total blade length is about 30 1/2” the scabbard looks to have old military war color green paint. Flower metal design symbols are seen. Sword length about 38” long. A magnet sticks to the blade. There’s a push release button to pull out blade.Very cool to look at. Great for any collection. Please check out my other listings of WW2 items from this private estate. This sword came from a WW2 us pilots estate.I WAS JUST TOLD THIS SWORD WAS MOST LIKELY USED DURING WW2, AND WAS PROBABLY BROUGHT BACK AS A Souvenir of WW2, AND THE BLADE POSSIBLY IS WAY OLDER?
