This is a classic World War Two Paratroopers Schrade Walden Presto M2 Jump Knife. It has metal scales with most the black worn off. The spring and lock work perfectly. the spring is good and strong and it pops open well. It measures 6-7/8" long open and 4-1/8" closed. Worn in the breast pocket of the Paratrooper M2 Jump Jacket, these knives were intended for paratroopers to cut their parachute cords and anything else if they got entangled during a jump. All of the versions are&nbs...p;quite rare and hard to find, partly because they continued to be used after the war, and simply wore out. Knife will be fully insured when shipped.
