My original crazy and traditional quilt stockings, along with my other one of a kind creations, are "Handmade with love.....and a touch of lavender.....from my home to yours" since 2000.
I love to remember these creative and talented ladies from so long ago, an...d to preserve pieces of their works of arts into pillows, little hearts, lavender filled strawberries and sachets, stockings......and so much more.......are just some ways that I can keep their memories in our hearts.
Offered are four (4) awesome mini stocking ornies made from an 1880-90s crazy quilt. These stockings showcase gorgeous and detailed embroidery work......a very talented maker to be sure! Included are embroidered flowers, roses, and a young girl playing with a hoop and stick.....so charming!
These little bits measure approximately 7 inches long, 4.5 inches from heel to toe, and about 3 inches across the top opening. The backs of these minis are from a vintage black velvet opera coat. They are fully lined with no seams showing using some black lining from the velvet opera coat.....the hangers are a black satin ribbon. The linings have ample give from top to toe to hold lots of trinkets, bling, or some sweet baby's breath! Since these sweeties are all hand crafted, each may vary ever so slightly in size or symmetry.
These ornies would be a beautiful addition to your Christmas tree, but will also make great teacher's gifts, package toppers, place settings for "take home" gifts.....and so much more! They will come to you from a smoke free home.
Although I try very hard to use only the best areas of my cutter textiles, there might be some slight surface wear, but I will always let you know of any major issues. You won't be disappointed with my creations as I take great pride in my workmanship.....from the careful placing and cutting of the textiles' patterns, the construction of my cut pieces........to the final completed pieces for you to enjoy for many more years to come.
