This is a 20" Cissy, by Madame Alexander. My wife bought her in 1984. She is a "Less than Perfect Doll", although in fine condition. Her face color is excellent. She is dressed in a floor length ballgown with bustle. The gown and bustle is fully lined in yellow satin (see pics) and is obviously all original with proper hoop-underskirt and panties. The hoop-underskirt has malformed due to storage and needs to be reshaped. She is miss...ing her high heel shoes and stockings. I don't know if she carried a purse, but she didn't have one when I got her. The gown is wrinkled slightly due to storage. The eyes close easily, but are a little tight when opening. A light tap on the temple opens them. The eyelashes are perfect. However, under her right eyelid, there is what appears to be a white line along the lid. I thought it was a spot, like a spot of paint, until I looked closely at the magnified pictures. (see pics 2, 3, 7, 8) I can't tell what it is, even with a magnifying glass, but definitely a flaw. Her hair is good at the forehead and on top, however is mussed in back (see pics). The gap you see in pic 5 is that the hair has fallen on the outsides, the "short-looking hair" has not been cut, but continues to be held in a tight curl. Easy for someone good at resetting hair There is a "Cissy" tag inside the gown. Doll stand included. I modified the doll stand so she could stand up without her high heels. She is priced at $1000 and up in mint condition (2009 Price Guide). Using a scale of: Mint, xlnt, very fine, fine, good, fair and poor, and due to all her problems mentioned above, I would rate her to be fine, maybe only good. I had high hopes for this one, but.....
