Original Description:
Large French Petite Sonnerie carriage clock @ 1890 with original winding key.  This is a very nice one owner clock that came out of an estate recently, where it was meticulously maintained.  Please see my other auctions this week for another great carriage clock from this same estate.   All beveled glasses are original and good.  The extremely high quality and detailed case has an excellent well worn patina and looks fantastic.  Great original porcelain dial is... undamaged.  Original hands.  The 8 day quarter hour repeating Petite Sonnerie movement runs good and keeps excellent time with its original platform escapement, but it is sold without any warranty due to shipping.  Strikes Petite Sonnerie on the quarter hours, and strikes Grande Sonnerie whenever the repeat button on top of the case is pushed.  Dimensions are:  7 1/8" tall with the handle up x 3 11/16" wide x 3 1/4" deep.  Weighs in at 4 1/4 pounds.  Please see my other auctions this week for a Grande Sonnerie repeating carriage clock from this same estate.  No reserve.  UPS ground shipping in the continental USA will be $40.00.
