This is a nice condition, Australian made Coleman 249 kerosene pressure lantern, made in the Sydney factory under license to Coleman Canada, and dated 2/58, and so inscribed on the back under the pump. The tank is bright nickel, there are several small shallow pencil point dents that do not show in the photos, as well as a small shallow crease to the right of the filler cap, shown in the last photo. The steel base is clean with the original plating, there are some tiny rust spots start...ing. The collar and frame show very light nickel loss and marks from use. I have cleaned the generator and burning parts, new seals fitted, can be used if you wish, I have not lit it to keep it clean for post. The original dark green hood has rust chips in the vents and on top as shown, no rust holes. Original globe has no chips or cracks, has the faint logo 'Coleman - Pyrex 550 globe'. A better than average example of these lanterns which are generally well used.
