Original Description:
Purchased from an old estate in Elba NY, this is a late 18th century stoneware 1/2 gallon jug with rich, dark brown glaze, definitely manufactured by the E.W. Farrington Stoneware Company of Elmira NY, it advertises "J.M. Connolly" who was a wholesale liquor and wine merchant in Elmira. The jug stands about 9 1/4" tall and is in very good condition, free of chips or cracks: see photos.
