Forestock-
Unissued NOS that has not been fitted to a barrel or receiver. This has the Ishapore screw and requires minimal fitting to SMLE rifle. The forestock is in very good condition!! Extremely rare for something this old. It has a very small patch located to the rear of the band cut out that is hard to see (picture 5 &6). Has nice proof stamps at the bottom before the nose cap and where the nose cap is installed as well.Top handguard-
Is a new reproduction made from walnut, an...d I've applied a few coats of boiled linseed oil. Hardware-
Numbered M over 47083. Proof stamp is British arrow over EFD over V9. Also, has a larger British arrow that is faded. See pictures. Band, screw, and swivel included! Nice set to restore a sporterized Enfield! The rifle pictured is a 1916 Lee Enfield SMLE No1 MKIII with the same style forestock and handguard from the same lot I purchased (rifle is NOT for sale).
