For your consideration this week is a stunning vintage TiffanyStudios (New York) hinged bronze doré cigarette box in the Venetian pattern, #1680.C.1920s.The exterior is gorgeous! It was crafted to look like gold butis really a gilt bronze, and it features the elegant Venetian pattern of gentleswirls and flourishes, as well as panels of ermines around the base. Theinterior is lined with cedar panels, which still give off a faint aroma ofyumminess. This box measures 5-1/2” wide (at th...e base), 2-1/4” tall and 4-3/4”deep. It’s signed Tiffany Studios, New York, and numbered 1680 on the bottom.The condition is excellent – the hinge is tight, the lid is even with the box, the latch engages, and I don’t see anything but very slight age-appropriatewear.
