Antique French Empire Style Gilt Bronze Ormolu Hand Painted Portrait Powder Box

An antique, round, heavy all bronze, gilt ormolu powder box in the Empire style. The bronze (ormolu) top is inset with a hand painted portrait of a raven haired beauty & has a mirror inside.It measures about 3 3/4" (9.5 cm.) in diameter & 2" (6 cm.) tall.
It is in excellent condition no stains or loss of gilding (much shinier than it appears to be in photo). There is some fogginess to inside of the glass covering the portrait.
It has no maker's marks just hand written num...bers "A491".We ship World Wide. Shipping costs quoted are only estimates & may not include insurance.
