HERE IS A CLASSIC NAVAJO RUG / W...EAVING FROM THE NAVAJO PEOPLE, DATING FROM ABOUT 1980 (1975-1985), HAND WOVEN WITH A FINE WOOL WARP AND WEFT. THE WO0LS ARE A COMBINATION OF NATURALLY CARDED SHEEP'S WOOL COLORS AS WELL COMMERCIAL WOOLS. THE PATTERN IS A THREE YEI RUG, ONE YEI BEING A GUARDIAN YEI, IT IS A REFINED AND VERY WELL DONE WEAVING!
THIS IS A CLASSIC NAVAJO WEAVING WHICH DISPLAYS VERY WELL AS A WALL HANGER- (SEE PICS).

The size of this textile is approximately 33" X 24", with a hand spun wool warp of about 10, and a hand spun Wool Weft of about 40 (tight and fine weave!). A beautifully designed, well constructed piece of Native America! EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR AGE (Please see all pics!): The wools within this rug are in great condition, still have luster and sheen, and the weaving is structurally sound. There is NO Fading, NO Dry/Rotted Wool, and NO Holes or Snags. The End Selvage Cords are 100% present (a braid of two, 3-ply white wool yarns), and the side selvage warps are 100% intact and present with no fraying or loss to side edges. The corners are in excellent condition, and all four corner ties are present (see pic of corners).
This weaving was woven by a weaver with last name of Yazzi (sorry I forgot the first name), this was verbally reported when purchased in Flagstaff. See pic with dollar bill for size comparison.
