206th PA Volunteers - Organized Sept. 8, 1864. An infantry regiment of the Union Army in the Civil Wa...r. The 206th was sent to the Army of the James at Bermuda Hundred during the Siege of Petersburg. The regiment remained in camp during the Third Battle of Petersburg and later marched into Richmond after its evacuation. After serving on provost duty in Virginia, it was mustered out in late June of 1865.
Thomas J. Moore - Enlisted on 8/14/1862 as a Second Lieutenant and was commissioned into "D" Co. PA 135th Infantry. He was mustered out on 5/24/1863 at Harrisburg, PA. He enlisted on 7/23/1863 as a Captain and was commissioned into "A" Co. PA 2nd Battalion Infantry. He was mustered out on 1/21/1864. He then enlisted once more on 9/9/1864 as a Captain and was commissioned into "A" Co. PA 206th Infantry/ He mustered out on 6/26/1865 at Richmond, VA.
