THE LAST DAYS OF POMPEII by Lord Lytton. Illustrations by Kurt Craemer. The Limited Editions Club, 1956. Large hardcover in slipcase, 516 pages. Number 1241 of a LIMITED EDITION of 1500 copies. SIGNED by the illustrator (Kurt Craemer) and printer (Giovanni Mardersteig) on the colophon page.
Book condition: Good. Foxing along the text block edges, and a tiny bit at the head of the spine. The book is otherwise clean, tightly bound and unmarked.
D...ust jacket condition: Good. Some light dust-soiling. Edge-wear of small chips, tears and creases. The spine has sunning, dust-soiling, scuffing, a horizontal crease, and a few light stains.
Slipcase condition: Good. Sunning (especially along the spine), scuffing, dust-soiling, a few small stains, and some edge-wear at the corners (chipping and flaking). There are a couple very small edge-cracks, but the slipcase is still holding firm at this point.
