1924 EDITION OF WHEN WE WERE VERY YOUNG

A lovely book, it is bound in blue cloth with faded gilt illustrations to the front and back covers and gilt title to the spine. There is some bumping to the corners and edges of the book, but the boards are in good condition with just a little fraying to the cloth and shelf wear. It is missing the front illustrated endpaper but all other pages are present and really clean, no grubby marks, and only slight age related tan...ning, gilt to the top edges. Some tanning to the half title page (see picture). All in all a good example of one of Milne's classics. No inscriptions or writing in the book.
The book was published by Methuen & Co and is a 1st Edition / 2nd Printing, with the date printed in the book. A highly collectable book, the 1st / 1st Editions are very expensive, this copy was published only weeks after the 1st / 1st, which was published in November 1924.
