OLD Union Pacific Railroad Conductor/ Porter Step Stool, Morton Mfg. Chicago. Top measures 9 1/2 X 14 1/4”, base measures about 13 X 18 1/2”, it stands about 10 3/4” high. This is a great ORIGINAL old Union Pacific Railroad step stool but is has been repainted by a previous owner. Still has the original rubber feet on it but felt nubs have been added. Makers tag is on the back but it’s painted over and barely readable. The writing you can see on the front of it is actually more... visible in the photo than it is in person. Underneath the previous owner wrote that he purchased this in 1968 for $15, and it looks like the 1968 description and price is what is written on the front underneath the red paint. Found in a. Local estate, comes as seen in photos.
