        An original Civil War letter dated Dec 2d/64.  In one area it looks like it says, ........that Jared Purrell has been to Dixie and lost his right arm and Wheslon Bobbitt his foot at Gettysburg William Thayers is in the 24 Mich Inft. You inquired of Mr Thomas he is still living but has not got around much......... The letter has wear and stain marks, some areas are light and hard to read, the cover has wear.  ...     If you have any questions feel free to ask.
