This is an Authentic Railway Express Agency Bullion Lockbox. This lockbox was used by Wells Fargo and the Railway Express Agency over 100 years ago.

This particular box came from the Skull Valley, Arizona area.
It has its original paint and has never been repainted or restored in any way. It is in completely original condition.
... Although it is missing the key, the strong box is completely functional.( I will include a photo of the original key. So a new key can be easily made). I will also send a hand written receipt , for the blockbox, from the original owner to the former owner.
Dimensions are roughly 26" long by 14" wide x 16" high and weighs 116 lbs. It has very heavy gauge steel construction. It would make a great cornerstone piece for any museum or private collection.
An identical strong box was shown on the TV show Pawn Stars, and is on display in their store in Las Vegas. Another one, in not as good condition than this one , sold on ebay for $1550.00 on May 23, 2014. For this reason, I am setting the buy now price at $1, 200.
