                                        SUPERB SOLID SILVER ENGLISH TABLE SNUFF BOX WITH BATTLE SCENE LID H/M 1787 HEAVY 5 OUNCES
LOVELY ENGLISH SOLID SILVER TABLE SNUFF BOX FULLY HALLMARKED FOR LONDON 1787, MAKER I.C AND LION PASSANT FOR ENGLISH GRADE SILVER.
THIS BOX HAS AN ELABERATE RAISED DESIGN TO THE LID, A BATTLE SCENE WITH TWO HORSE MEN FIGHTING AND BANNER MEN WITH AN ARRAY... OF WEAPONS AND FLAGS ABOVE PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS. THE SIDES ARE ENGRAVED WITH A SCROLLING LEAF PATTERN WITH RAISED FLOWER HEADS AROUND VERY PRETTY.

WEIGHT IS HEAVY 149.2 GRAMS AND MEASURES 8CM WIDTH AND A DEPTH OF 4.5CM.
THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT NO DAMAGE , A TINY FLEA BITE DING TO THE BASE AND SLIGHT WEAR TO THE FIGURES BUT DETAIL IS STILL VERY CLEAR. THE OUTSIDE RIM SHOWS NO SIGNS OF WEAR AND NO DENTS. THE INTERIOR RETAINS SOME GOLD GUILDING AND ALLTHOUGH HALLMARKS ARE PART RUBBED STILL VERY CLEAR MARKS FOR DATING THE PIECE.
THE LIDS SHUTS TIGHT AND SNUG WITH SHORT BARREL HINDGE TO REVERSE ALSO IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER.
