This is a fabulous, large pair of finely embroidered Chinese silk panels. These extraordinary panels are each absolutely covered in scholars items or precious objects and are bordered by gorgeous chrysanthemums, vines and leaves-all on a fine, guaze silk.. The detailed work is stunning! These are very rare and date to the Qing Dynasty. Each measures 65" tall and 20" wide. We will take these out of the frames to ship-we are not shipping the frames-the silk is very fragile... and, if the glass broke, it would most likely rip the silk. The embroideries are lightly affixed only on the very edges to boards-they will come off the boards because they are only affixed on the very edge. There is tearing on the top border of one panel as pictured.
