Solid Brass Indian Elephant Bookends -Antique This sale is for a beautifulset of Antique Solid Brass Indian Elephant Bookends, made in India. TheseElephants are intricately detailed and very heavy. There are (2) identicalElephants, each measuring: 10” long, 3” wide and 6½” tall. They are very heavy weighing nearly 10 pounds. The Elephants are Solid Bronzeand molded in a laying position with two hind legs in a kneeling position and thefront legs looking like the elephan...t is getting ready to stand. Each elephant hasfloral designs throughout, with a large Flower on the heads. There are noHallmarks or Backstamps that I could find, but there originally sold for $125.00. Features: Solid Brass Design Heavy (10 Pounds) Intricately Detailed Bodies This set is being soldby the original owner. Each Elephant is in MINT condition with no defects ofany kind. It looks like there is a tiny bit of White (maybe Paint) here andthere. It can be removed, but I didn’t want to mess it up doing so. I have taken photos ofthe actual piece you are bidding on.
