A fine Antique Italian Grand Tour Bronze, two horse racing chariot on a marble base. The two horses with full rig and yokes over their backs. Between them a highly decorated pole/shaft terminating in a ram's head. The two wheeled chariot highly decorated in high relief with the spokes and hubs of the wheels also highly decorated. The charioteer is dressed in a short smock with a helmet. You can see the... charioteers fingernails. This bronze has terrific detail, it is very well executed and in lovely condition. The bronze is set upon a shaped marble base. It is Italian circa 1840-1880. It is approximately 12 inches long by 7 inches deep by 7 inches tall.
