RARE CATHRINEHOLM (NORWAY) MID-20TH CENTURY VINTAGE LIME GREEN ON MILKY YELLOW LARGE STENCILED LOTUS FLOWER 9" ENAMEL SERVING/MIXING BOWL (Circa 1956-1964)Vintage Cathrineholm enamelwareDIMENSIONS:9 ¼" Diameter x 4" Height
DESCRIPTION: There's one very small flea-bite no bigger than a poppy seed on the upper rim of the bowl. There's also a small abrasion (tiny scratch) on the lower portion of one of the stenciled lotus flowers and an extrem...ely tiny 'touch' on the milky yellow exterior glaze on the bowl's sidewalls. This rare, large 9 1/4" Cathrineholm enamel mixing/serving bowl may not be perfect but it's damn well close. Outstanding reflective surfaces and a rare color combination, with the lime green stenciled flowers on milky yellow combination, being a vivid and choice complimentary color combination. This is a wonderful mid-20th century vintage large enamel mixing/serving bowl in really extraordinary condition. It was clearly gently or only occasionally used, due to its overall excellent condition. The interior basin has a few, very faint and very minor 'touches' from previous utensil use. They are very slight marks that are barely noticeable. The story here, aside from the great condition, is the luscious, delicious and unbelievably rich, rare color combination. Extraordinary.
