Antique 4 - Piece Pewter Tea Set, James Dixon & Son, England, C. 1835
Item History & Price
The teapot has an impressed mar...k on the base that reads, "74 JAMES DIXON & SON - 1841 C". The covered sugar bowl has the same melon shaped body with two shaped handles and a removable lid. The sugar bowl is marked, "4 JAMES DIXON & SON - 1841 C." The creamer is also marked, "22 JAMES DIXON & SON - 1841 C." The waste bowl is marked, "22 JAMES DIXON & SON - 1841 C." This is a fine four piece set that I believe is original since all four pieces have almost the same mark, with "1841 C" at the end which may be the year it was manufactured.
