RARE 1950s Vintage Sony TR - 6 Historical Transistor Radio
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:20569518 | Modified Item: No |
Brand: Sony | Country/Region of Manufacture: Japan |
As for the Sony TR-6, this model is made from a very brittle plastic and is easy to break, and this radio isn't also an exception. The radio can see a crack in the left bottom side. Now it's already ...repaired. There are no cracks or chips besides this crack in the plastic cover. Metal round plate on the top of the volume dial is missing. Please see photos.
This item is sold as is.The radio operates on 4 AAA batter batteries - do not include batteries in this auction. I tested and it picks up many AM stations normally.Tuning knob and volume dial rotate smoothly as they should. The radio has enough volume and the tone quality is clear for its age.Circuit board and all historical electronic component seems to be original except for one diode to play the radio more stable. The diode is installed in the back of the original diode, so it isn't seen from the surface. Has no corrosion around battery space.
These parts easily exceed the average use number of years, but the radio is not fully repaired because it is historically very valuable and to keep originality and respect it.
As the "Sony" badge was missing, so I diverted the badge for "TR-72".I provide a number of photos for your inspection, Please look closely.
There are no returns, no refunds.
Thank you.
