Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:20528134 | Modified Item: No |
Brand: Sony | Country/Region of Manufacture: Japan |
The radio measures 224mm wide by 41mm deep by 110mm high, and receives AM frequency 535 - 1605 kHz. Operates on 4 C-size batteries - do not include batteries.
This is a historically significant radio for Sony's early entrants into the world's transistor radio markets. The TR-66 radio is quite a rare find in the Auction. It makes a great collectible item.I tested and... it picks up many AM stations.Tuning knob and volume controls are stable and no need to replace.
Circuit board and each historical electronic component are original except one electronic part. One electrolytic capacitor is added to play the radio more stable. The capacitor is installed in the back of the circuit board, so it isn't seen from the surface. All parts of the radio easily exceed the average use number of years.Basically, At least all electrolytic capacitors should be replaced to play the radio more and more stable but the radio is not fully restored in order to keep historical values.
Plastic cabinet has some chips, cracks and hairlines mainly in each side corner of the upper cover. Please see the photos. All the necessary repairs are made and no need to repair again. There is no corrosion on the spring where the batteries connect.Carrying belt is not original.
I provide a number of photos for your inspection, Please look closely.Basically there are no returns, no refunds.
Thank you.
