This is a beautiful, large statement vase. The workmanship and detail is superb. Both front and back are heavily decorated with raised gold moriage trim and the cascading handles are very unique. It carries the Royal Bonn mark on the bottom that dates it to the 1890's. It is truly a work of art. There is one flaw and that is the handle on the right as you are looking at the front. There is a 4.5" portion that has broken off which is unfortunate. I bought it knowing this an...d have displayed it in my dining room the last few years. A previous owner addressed the issue and did a very nice job painting the damaged area so that it blends in nicely. So, there you have it, the vase is elaborate enough that the handle isn't that noticeable to me and I also realize that if it were perfect it would have been unaffordable for me.
