Circa approximately 1850s
A gorgeous vase made by Franz Anton Mehlem under the Bonn (later Royal Bonn) mark. The vase is from the Cactus Flower series and depicts beautiful flowers in soft pink, blue and yellow colours with slightly raised borders in bronze/gold colour.
There is no crazing.
There is, however, a crack from the inside, as pictured, but it is not deep and does not go through the thickness of the vase. No sign of it on the outside. Bronze paint ...is rubbed off some spots on the handles. The overall condition is consistent with wear expected of the 170-year-old object.
Approximate height is 9"
