This listing is for an antique French porcelain dresser or trinket box with a hand painted seascape on the cover signed by the artist. The box measures 3 3/4 inches or 9.5 cm high and is 6 3/4 inches or 17 cm wide across the top. The box features an all over green glaze with a large seascape on the top of the box. The hand painted seascape shows a ship sailing in the foreground with buildings along the shore behind the ship. The rest of the scene has features lush green mountains in t...he distance set amongst the blue clouded sky. The painting is signed on the lower right by the artist. The box is further enhanced with hand painted heavy applied gold scrolling designs and flowers. The box is mounted in gilt brass and has a hinge on the back of the box and a scrolling clasp at the front. It is marked on the bottom "HAND PAINTED MADE IN FRANCE" along with a triangle mark with "VTB" and a scrolling line mark all in blue.It is in excellent condition and has no damage or restoration.
