Rare, Beautiful 18th Century French Silk Woven Ikat Stripe Fabric 
Description:This beautiful rare, 18th century French silk woven ikat stripe fabric, has various vertical stripes with a background color in taupe, with larger leaf jacquard woven stripes in a soft green. There are several stripes with ikat geometric elements in wine, creme, and green. There are smaller woven jacquard stripes in a soft camel color.

The fabric measures 16 1/2 inches in width by 36 inches in length.

Condition:
FairThis is an 18th century woven stripe fabric - there are numerous areas with "breaks" in the fabric which have areas that are threaded bare with the linen fibers showing through. Very beautiful for serious collectors of 18th century fabrics.
