You are looking at a vintage set of D-23 hand saws, one rip, and one crosscut, made in the USA by Henry Disston & Sons of Philadelphia, Pa. Both saws are marked clearly on the face of the blade with the familiar Disston keystone logo and number, as well as the signed quality statement. Both saws sight straight and feature straight backs, narrow tips, and both are in good relatively sharp condition with no missing teeth. The rip has 5 1/2 PPI and the crosscut has 8 PPI. The st...eel is clean on both, but both show darkening from previous oxidation. The handles have chip carved faces and are constructed from Apple. The rip handle is in very good shape, but the cross handle has a repaired crack in the center of the grip. It has been glued and does not separate or move. The repair can be seen however. Both handles show usage and finish wear. They are held tight with five brass sawnuts, one of which holds the " Disston - USA" medallion. Great users or for the collector. I will ship via Parcel Select Mail as soon as cleared payment is received. Please ask questions before you bid, and I will answer promptly. There is a 14 day return policy if not as described. Thanks for looking.
