Original Description:
This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s NCO sword in mountings  The blade is shinogi-zukuri shape, late WWll time period ca.1944 era made arsenal made blade.        The blade has serial number 300453, shows fine scratches, light stains but no deep rust and in good condition.      There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.       The scabbard is wood scabbard, no se...rial number stamped,   shows minor lacquer loss but no dent, no bend, no crack and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit, mekugi screw has been replaced but no loose also in good condition.     Lock mechanism works fine.    It measures 27" tip to the guard, 26" cutting edge,  1+1/8" width,  6 mm thickness at the notch and 40+1/4" in mountings.       Shipping is $25 priority in U.S.   No international shipping.  Payment dues within 3 days auction end.
