This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in mountings. The blade is unsigned, shinogi-zukuri shape with bohi engravings, Edo period ca.1800 era made old family blade. The blade is in old polish, shows fine scratches, light stain but no rust and in good condition. The temper line is wavy chusuguba with nie active temper and has deep temper at the point. ... There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is glossy lacquered heavy metal scabbard, no dent, no bend and in good condition. The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cut, no loose also in good condition. Lock mechanism works fine. Tsuba and seppa are China war time made thick tsuba, matched number 8 stamped. It measures 29+1/16" tip to the guard, 28" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 6.5 mm thickness at the notch and 40+1/2" in mountings. Shipping is $25 priority in U.S. No international shipping.
