Guaranteed original WW2 1942 dated USMC camo shelter half. Shelter half is in excellent issued condition with no rips or tears (some of the grommets have some paint loss and light gray oxidation), and some very very light soiling. Colors are strong and bright. I would conservatively rate this an 8 out of 10 condition-wise.
Please note that I am relisting this shelter half after it sold for over $500 because the buyer felt I misrepresented the condition. I described this as bei...ng in super condition which I stand by but I want my buyers to be happy so here this is again. Please keep in mind, if I have a mint unissued item, I won't be shy -- I'll describe it as such. I have collected for over 40 years on a very dedicated level. I sought out untouched 100% original items that were in some way special to my eye (perhaps personalized, having a battlefield pick-up appearance, with provenance, etc...). I generally avoided items with post-war damage (depending on rarity) with the idea that the item should look like it did fresh from the battlefield. If an item has a fault I will typically both describe and photo it (in other words you will not get any unpleasant surprises).
