A - 2 REPLACEMENT KNITS SET FOR J. A. DUBOW WW - 2 BOMBER & LEATHER FLIGHT JACKETS

This is a listing for one set (pair of cuffs and waist) of replacement knits & correct for WW-2 era United States Army Air Corps issue A-2 type flight jackets. These particular knits were especially made to exactly match the color and design of my 27798 J.A. Dubow's original knits. The color of these knits are known as dull purple. As WW-2 era type jacket knits they are the correct weight and weave. Also, correct in both horizontal & vertical dimensions for any size (36-50) War... era A-2 flight jacket. About as close as you can get to the original issue. However, please read on for a complete explanation.
These particular knits were made here in the USA using 100% wool. Ordered by me to my specifications to be used for one of my restorations. Moreover, I had these made because I was otherwise unable to source a correct set. As seen in the provided images they are almost a perfect color match to the original Dubow jacket knits.
The wool used to make these knits have a long fiber & great quality. As such they will not pill & something to appreciate. Much unlike some of the other short fiber jacket knits in which I had the misfortune to have encountered in the past. Exactly why I specifically use these particular knits for my all of my builds and restoration projects.
These knits have the design which were specifically had set up to accommodate A-2 type jackets. Moreover & besides matching the color I also had these cuff knits made with a slightly shorter tube section. Exactly like found utilized by the J.A. Dubow A-2 jacket maker did on their original issue WW-2 jackets. As a result these particular knits best duplicate those originals.
The cuff knits will make up to have 2 3/4" of reveal when attached. Exactly what I consider to be the correct length as found on original jackets. Likewise, in over 10 years of working on these jackets I've never encountered an original WW-2 issued era jacket that these waist knits will not perfectly fit.
Since these Dubow dull purple colored knits were supplied to me through a minimum order I now have more knit sets than I will need for the foreseeable future. You are welcome to a set while they last!
